Bulk Item Collection Procedures and Guidelines

Accepted Bulk Items

✔ Furniture
✔ Non-Freon Appliances

Unacceptable Items

Do NOT place these items out for garbage collection:

• Tires 

• Batteries 

• Concrete 

• Freon-containing appliances, including: 

o Refrigerators 

o Freezers 

o Air conditioners 

o Water coolers 

o Dehumidifiers 

Why? Freon is harmful to the environment and requires special handling and disposal.

Note: Freon appliances will not be collected with regular garbage or bulk item pickup.

Mattress & Box Spring Requirements

⚠ All mattresses and box springs must be completely wrapped in plastic before collection. Unwrapped mattresses and box springs will not be collected.

-Mattress bags are available at an affordable cost at most local hardware and retail stores.

*Bulk items must be scheduled through 311 and will be collected on your next scheduled collection day.

Before You Set Items Out

• Schedule your pickup with 311. 

• Place items at the curb the night before your collection day. 

• Ensure mattresses and box springs are fully enclosed in plastic.

• Ensure items are at least 3 feet away from your garbage cart.

Spring Garage Sale – May 28th-30th

Millstone Village holds two garage sales every year the weekends after Memorial Day and weekend after Labor Day.

This year they will be May 28th-30th and again September 10th-12th.

The HOA has a few signs they will put out , you are welcome to put out your own signs , we just ask you pick them up when the sale is over.

MVCA March 2026 Meeting Minutes 

The meeting was called to order by Rachael Caldwell at 7:00pm on March 10th, 2026.

Went over January 2026 meeting minutes, Rachael made a motion to approve, Lee second, approved.

Went over January and February financials. Ending balance of $74,355.56 on January 30th, 2026. Ending balance of $73,303.99on February 27th, 2026. Rachael made a motion to approve; Lee second, approved.

Discussed 2026 unpaid dues; 10 liens were filed. In 90 days, any remaining will proceed to small claims.

5 out of 6 Northland Blvd entities who share pond maintenance responsibility have paid. Need a 2nd letter with a due date of 30 days to the remaining entity.

Discussed the Northland Blvd sign; since it was hit, it was moved to an area where it gets more sun. The sign and letters are melting and/or becoming brittle. Discussed replacing the sign with a chalkboard. Lee said to check out store on Clinton Street; Rachael will investigate the cost locally and online.

Discussed the process of adding/adjusting a covenant. Would need notaries and 75% of homeowners to vote yes. 

Discussed online payment, Austin stated would need a PayPal account. Concerns about security and the additional fee for payment to be received. 

7:36 motion to end meeting by Rachael, second by Lee.
